Catalina Families & Friends - Saturday, March 29, 2025

Join this special dive trip to get back to diving and hanging with your dive buddies. We will travel to Avalon, Catalina Island and to Casino Point for our day of diving.  

• Reminders: Pack your big roller bag.  Don't forget to bring your certification card, all your gear, tank and weights; no gear is provided unless reserved in advance per the options below. .
• Ferry Location Address: 320 Golden Shore, Long Beach, CA 90802. 

Please - reserve rental gear in advance! You need to make arrangements for us to deliver or to pick up your gear at least one day before the trip or arrange for it to be delivered. We are trying to accommodate everyone who needs gear or tanks, so it's important to reach out to us and let us know.

A few reminders & suggestions -

1) Must be a certified SCUBA diver and provide proof of certification. The diving will be appropriate for Open Water divers. At this time, we are not taking reservations for snorkelers or non divers. Freedivers need to be certified and provide proof of certification.

2) Reservations and bookings are intended for the Malibu Divers. 

3) Divers should be ready, confident and comfortable diving. If you need a guided dive (see below option, assistance or a tune-up, please let us know during signup in the notes or in advance by emailing to: barbara@malibudivers.com or the store at 310-456-2396, additional fees.

OPTIONS: (please provide requested information in the notes field at checkout)
ALL OPTIONS - You are expected to travel with us. Gratuities are not included and welcome, customary and appreciated by the Malibu Divers Pro crew.

1) Add Catalina Express Ferry - you have everything you already need including gear and cylinder/fills. Certified Freedivers can do this option if they have gear.

2) Add Ferry, and Tank & Fills - let us know your preference for steel or aluminum cylinder and size.

3) Add Ferry, Tanks & Fills and SCUBA gear only - you need BCD, regulator, wetsuit, weights. hood. Let us know your sizes (or weight & height). Does not include mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves.

4) Add 1-2-3 and 3 guided dives for the day. Note: does not include any training or tune-up.

Day before - please pickup rental gear, no later than 5:30 pm at our store.

5:15- 5:30 am - arrive & check-in at Catalina Express Long Beach Landing

6:00 am - Ferry leaves the dock!

7:15 am - Arrival to Avalon, Catalina Island

9:00 am - Dive 1

11:00 am - Dive 2

Lunch break - bring your food, water and snacks

1:00 pm - Dive 3 

~3:55 - 5:05 pm - Arrival back to Long Beach port

NOTE: please be advised by attending this event, there will be photos and videos shot throughout the day and that will be respectful of your privacy if you do not want to appear, please let us know in advance. By participating in this boat trip, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Malibu Divers and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future, and highlight the event You release Malibu Divers, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings. By entering the dive boat, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Malibu Divers or the person or entity designated to do so by Malibu Divers. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before boarding the boat.
