Why become an Instructor in EFR?
The reasons for becoming an instructor are as diverse as people who do it. Here's a few reasons why for you:
The Emergency First Response Instructor Course will provide you with the training necessary for you to teach four courses.
- Primary Care (CPR),- Secondary Care (First Aid),- CPR & AED,- Care for Children.
We also will spend a time going over a marketing program for how you intend to use it. You will have the skills and know-how and be ready to offer the course.
You will be ready to teach right after your course. We provide you with an exceptional program, so you can be an exceptional instructor. You're encouraged to team teach your first program.
Includes your EFR Instructor crew-pak, all of your training and your PADI application fees.
Prerequisites:
To enter the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be 18 years old and have completed CPR and first aid training in the past 24 months (or do a refresher) or a be a practicing medical professional such as a physician, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or Registered Nurse.

The PADI Specialty Instructor Program is designed to allow you to feel confident and comfortable conducting PADI Specialty Programs.
Specialty courses offer you as an instructor the ability to cater to the needs and desires of your clients. Plus, you reduce your liability and further your enjoyment of diving by being able to focus on the aspects of diving you are passionate about. The course allows you to begin teaching specialties without having to teach twenty five students. These certifications can then count toward your certification requirements for Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Most importantly, you will develop the experience and confidence to be able to conduct a wide range of specialties.
Malibu Divers' Specialty Instructor course(s) include:* Does not includes any transportation or Catalina Weekend (Express, Hotel, Boat, Parking) or Summer Camp Weekend, personal expenses, rental gear, etc.

People who dive as a part of their job or volunteer duties often need first-aid training to manage unique situations that may occur. DAN's Diving First Aid for Professional Divers (DFA Pro) course is designed for commercial, professional, aquarium and scientific divers, providing first-aid knowledge and skills specific to these work environments. It also provides rescue management skills for dive masters and dive instructors.
DFA Pro is comprised of information from the Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries, Neurological Assessment, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries and CPR HCP courses. It meets 2015 U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for workplace CPR and first aid.
